SYNOPSIS

Knoxie Dibbles, a popular, small-town advice columnist for teenage girls, catches the attention of media giant William McClure and his playboy son, Tyler.  Together they pluck her from her sheltered environment and close-knit family in Libertyville, Georgia and bring her to Hollywood where she is thrust into the limelight as the host of a controversial talk show advocating “no sex” as opposed to “safe sex” for teenage girls.

Petrified, but thrilled nonetheless, Knoxie packs her bags and heads for the city of dreams.  As Knoxie’s popularity grows, she faces mounting opposition, which includes a group of co-workers who want to see her fail miserably.  They attempt to sabotage Knoxie with tabloid scandals and by staging a televised debate on abstinence versus safe sex, which she is sure to lose.  Instead, Knoxie arms herself with startling facts that blow the lid off the “safe sex” controversy.  She becomes an overnight sensation and an abstinence movement across the country is born.

Down but not out, Knoxie’s enemies discover something about her past that she has been hiding from everyone.  With her reputation and popularity on the brink of collapse, Knoxie’s family and true friends, including Tyler, come to her aid.  While weathering the scandal together, Knoxie and Tyler’s mutual respect grows into something more.  Knoxie contemplates her own advice and decides that Tyler could be the one she’s been saving herself for.

In the end, the truth triumphs, Knoxie’s reputation is restored, and her abstinence movement spawns a counter-sexual revolution that wins the hearts and minds of young girls all over the country.
